You tell me you have a plan.
Detailed on lined, reinforced paper, both sides, because phones aren't allowed in class.
Possibilities laced with words of enthusiasm. Goals coated with conviction.
Listed.
Explained.
Backed with teen expertise.
You're quitting your part-time job, focusing on study for the remainder of the year.
Plan to search for a new job later—one that pays your worth.
You'll take a gap year.
Save.
Travel.
Then save some more.
You want to experience all life has to offer, while you're young.
But, you are still so young.
The lunch bell rings. You snatch your pencil case, slide the tower of books from the desk, rest them against your hip, stack the file on top, and sling your bag over your shoulder before racing to your locker.
You thumb your phone with the speed of a gamer on attack, capturing your future plan in two snaps: a shot of the front, and one of the back. Then scroll for "birthgiver" and hit Send. Releasing a sigh, you head off to meet your friends.
The sun is out—it's a great day.
You have a plan.
