Freckles
Rachel McEleney
I took off my glasses. In the movies this is when the character turns from an ugly duckling into a beautiful swan. But I was still at the gawky stage of adolescence. My features not quite fitting my face. My teeth were too big, and my skin covered in freckles. When I complained about them, my father told me that the models in Paris were painting freckles on their faces and that I was blessed to already have them. Freckles didn't seem too bad after that.
